PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
CITY OF EMPIRE
DAKOTA COUNTY, MINNESOTA

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, the Planning Commission of the City of Empire has scheduled a public hearing, beginning at 8:00 p.m., on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at the Empire City Hall, 3385 197th Street, Farmington, MN.

The purpose of the hearing is to an application for an Interim Use Permit to allow for the construction and operation of a telecommunications tower and associated equipment on a property located at 2180 200th Street W. The site is zoned Agriculture Preservation (AG) and is legally described as:
Part of the Northwest 1/4 of Section 28, Town 114 North, Range 19 West, Dakota County, Minnesota, described as: Commencing at the Northeast corner of the Northwest ¼ of said Section; thence South 89°48'16" West along the North line of Section 28 a distance of 1213.60 feet; thence South 00°28'42" East a distance of 372.24 feet to the Southerly right of way of 200th street West (C.S.A.H. 66) (120' wide/public); thence continuing South 00°28'42" East a distance of 203.91 feet; thence South 14°52'40" East a distance of 96.21 feet; thence South 75°07'20" West a distance of 60.00 feet to the Point of Beginning; thence continuing South 75°07'20" West a distance of 100.00 Feet; thence North 14°52'40" West a distance of 100.00 feet; thence North 75°07'20" East a distance of 100.00 feet; thence South 14°52'40" East a distance of 100.00 feet to the Point of Beginning. Containing 10,000 square feet or 0.230 acres.
